Can I make the changes myself?

The short answerOften, yes. Many fixes are wording you can change yourself, and the rest come with step-by-step instructions you can follow or pass along to whoever helps with your site.

1See it

One website, three readers

Picture: the same made-up homepage three ways. A person sees everything. Google misses the words printed on the photo. ChatGPT sees only the name and the menu.

2Why it happens

Three reasons

  1. Wording fixes are yours. Saying what you do and where, in plain words, is something only you can write, and Squarespace, Wix and most other builders let you change it in minutes.
  2. Some fixes take more know-how. Structured data, settings that block AI tools and speed problems are more technical. Every finding in my reports comes with do-it-yourself steps, plus a short version you can hand to someone else if you'd rather.
  3. You don't have to do it all at once. Reports sort the fixes so you know what to do first and what can wait.

3What to do

Check it in two minutes

Look at your homepage headline. If it doesn't say what you do and where, that's a change you can make today.

Then see whether AI tools can read your homepage:
