Steve MacGregor
I started out doing operational consulting for small businesses. The same thing kept coming up. The website was in the way. Fixing operations meant fixing the site first, so that's where my focus went.
About Steve MacGregor
I spent years in technology management before going out on my own. That background taught me how to look at a system and figure out where it's actually breaking down, not where it looks like it's breaking down.
Most small business websites have the same handful of problems. A homepage that doesn't say what the business does. No clear next step for the visitor. A contact process that makes it harder to reach you than it needs to be. These aren't hard to fix once you know what you're looking at.
What I do is look at your site the way a potential customer does, tell you honestly what I find, and help you fix what's worth fixing. No template solutions. No pitch for a platform you don't need.
I work with small businesses across the Denver metro area. In person when that makes sense. Remote when it doesn't.
How I approach the work
Start with what's real
I don't work from assumptions. I look at your actual site, how visitors are moving through it, and what's getting in the way.
Fix what matters first
Not everything needs to change. A clear priority order means you're not spending money on things that won't move the needle.
Keep it simple
The goal is a site that works, not a sophisticated one. If a solution creates more maintenance than it removes, it's the wrong solution.
If any of that resonates, let's talk.
I'll take an honest look at your site and tell you what I see.
